Introducción

Investigamos en forma experimental propiedades dinámicas y estructurales de membranas biológicas y sistemas modelo. Obtenemos información a través de la espectroscopía de EPR con marcadores de espín y de la interacción de distintos detergentes con membranas celulares.

Inicio

En el grupo de Metaloproteinas y Sistemas Modelo estudiamos metaloproteinas que participan en diferentes vías de algunos ciclos biogeoquímicos (i.e. nitrógeno, azufre y carbono) y que contienen metales de transición como el cobre, hierro o molibdeno. Además sintetizamos complejos de metales de transición paramagnéticos que reproducen las propiedades estructurales y/o magnéticas de sitios activos de metaloenzimas y estudiamos sus propiedades magnéticas, electrónicas y fisicoquímicas.

En nuestro laboratorio contamos con las técnicas necesarias para realizar la caracterización bioquímica (masa molecular de monómeros y oligómeros, contenido de metales/cofactores), cinética (estado estacionario), electroquímica (Protein Film Voltammetry) y espectroscópica (UV-visible y Resonancia Paramagnética Electrónica) de metaloenzimas y compuestos organometálicos.
